How do we bring our minds into a place of recovery? Recovery from the constant downcast of our brokenness. Where in life is there hope for the person who was told they will never amount to anything? I don’t believe it. And neither should the wounded. Do you know that God’s plan for every person has been spoken into existence even before the world knew them by name? In other words (before our parents met us) God knew us.
We were born into a system of thinking that has been passed down through parenting and the world around us. It tells us how we should eat, think, dress, feel, and what is culturally acceptable. What happens when we step outside of the system and go into the deep? Into a world without limits where the person you thought you were is now questionable? Perhaps, You have just gone off to college, grad school even, and that’s where all the questions began. “Who Am I? Why Am I here? Surely there must be something more to life than raising me up, sending me off to college, graduating, obtaining a career, getting married, having children, traveling, etc. Which all sounds cool, but Why Am I Here? Why Was I Created? I have a beautiful marriage, the best kids ever, I lack nothing good in this world, I love my grandchildren, yet i still feel empty. What is it? And how do i respond to something i have yet to decipher?
